HIGHETT RESERVE

Public BBQ

This sprawling recreational hub along Turner Road serves Highett's sporting community with impressive versatility. The reserve anchors three major clubs - AFL Football/Netball, Cricket, and hosts a popular dog off-leash area that locals clearly appreciate. Families gravitate toward the well-maintained playground at oval 3, which operates around the clock for those early morning or evening visits. The facility's strength lies in its multi-purpose design, seamlessly accommodating weekend footy matches, cricket seasons, and daily dog walking routines. While primarily sports-focused, the open spaces and established amenities make it suitable for casual barbecues, particularly during quieter weekday periods when the ovals aren't occupied. The high ratings for both the playground and dog area suggest well-maintained facilities that cater effectively to community needs across different demographics.
